Roxy was in rare form this morning. First she woke me up way too early. Not even to go out side, she just wanted to wake me up to wake me up. Then not only did she swipe some of my daughters breakfast. She got a hold of mine, ran under the dinning room table and ate my English muffin with peanut butter before I even knew what happened. Good thing she is so darn cute!

Roxy was happy to have my nephew sleep in the living room last night. As soon as she saw the mattress on the floor she was in heaven. Until she realized she had to share. Then she did some real sucking up before trying to take it over. A few times throughout the night the hound won and my nephew ended up off the bed.

Roxy says she knows her daddy loves her!  How? Because he gave her this tub of ice cream to finish off the other night after dinner.

image

You should have seen the look of joy in her eyes when she was done licking it clean and seen the sticky mess on the tips of her ears.

It was all smiles this morning hanging out with Roxy and Rebecca. Roxy is doing so good with the baby. She even let Rebecca play with her ears.

Roxy has been non stop barking for almost an hour. We are having pizza for dinner and the smell is just driving her crazy. She is not giving hope of getting her share. Which is zero this time around. Poor girl is acting like she is going to die. I am such a mean Basset momma. All she has for dinner is a bowl of kibble with gravy on it.

image

But still she sits here barking and licking her lips in hope of a slice.

This last photo cracks me up. The look in Roxy’s eyes is like she is thinking “oh please, this little girl is so easily amused, it’s just my ear”.

Roxy has been known to guard the oven door while dinner cooks inside. She some times will lay down on the kitchen floor waiting, she’ll get up pace around and even if it smells worth it she will let out some loud howls. There is just no budging her out of the kitchen some times until dinner is ready and she finds out if any of it belongs to her. Which of course most of the time it doesn’t but my girl continues to have high hopes each time.

I love the scent of lavender when it comes to lotions or even candles. Now I am in love with this new naked naturals shampoo for color treated hair. I bet I have tried a bout a dozen shampoos over the last six months and still not found one that works well for my hair. I need the protection from coloring but they tend to either make my hair feel weighted down or waxy. I hate it when I look in the mirror an hour after doing my hair and it looks like I just crawled out of bed because my hair is too waxy to hold a style.
image So when I received a sample of Naked Naturals, Awapuhi & Lavender natural shampoo for color treated hair in the mail I wasn’t too excited at first to try it. Well, I finally started using it and can not believe how much I like the way it makes my hair feel and smell. I think I finally found the shampoo I have been looking for. Checking out their web site at http://www.nakednaturals.com not only does this shampoo make my hair look, smell and feel wonderful but it is an all natural product, which I love. Also I read that using it makes hair up to 7x stronger. That is exactly what I have been looking for because I need all the help I can get while styling my hair against breakage. I can’t believe how much breakage I have going on some days when I am getting ready for work. I’ll be sticking with Naked Naturals for now so I can stop stressing about it.
You can read it for yourself at http://www.nakednaturals.com .

I was just saying that I can’t believe how quiet Allison and Roxy are being this afternoon. No yelling, barking or running through the house. It’s just not like them!
I think Roxy is really coming around and getting better with Allison. Then I thought, I have been really busy so I better check up on them. Things are just way too quiet.

This is what I found! The two of them in the same chair with a bag of popcorn and watching a movie. How sweet.

I should have known that if things are too quiet, there is either trouble going on or there is sharing of food. That is just the way my hound works when Allison is home all day.

Things have been pretty quiet around here, hound wise. It’s been freezing rain and snowing all week. Not much for a short legged hound to do.Throwing the ball in the house for a while is just not the same.
I think we are all ready for spring.

Roxy is so not a fan of winter ! Today our high is a whole ten degrees and she is not happy about it. So far she has spent most of the day on the couch and under the blanket with dad.

At one point I walked in to the room and could only see her nose and some of her ear sticking out from under the blanket.

image

This is the look I got when I called her name and asked her if she wants to go out side. Like are you crazy mom? Can you not see I am nice and warm under here?

image

And that is where she stayed another hour or two.

When it comes to moving massive amounts of air around a large room or warehouse, nothing works better than a Big Ass Fan on the ceiling. My husband swears by his huge Warehouse Fan when he is at work. He demends on it so much that he doesn’t know how he ever worked with out it.  Adding a A Big Ass Fan to your warehouse will not only ensure consistent product quality by distributing the air but will also improve your heating and cooling bills by creating an even temperature facility-wide. Visit http://www.bigassfans.com/ to learn more.

BigAssFans makes six- to 24-foot diameter ceiling fans that use their immense size -not speed- to move massive amounts of air over large spaces. The demand has been phenomenal with Big Ass Fans installed everywhere from Airports-to-Zoos worldwide.
