I think I am back to being a good doggie momma in Roxy’s eyes. I came home from work early and took her for a nice long walk around the neighborhood before dinner. We even stopped by to visit her boyfriend, Regale, the beagle who lives across the street. Roxy loves it when I walk her up their driveway so the two hounds can touch noses through the fence for a while.
After having both of us home all day yesterday and laying on my lap for all three movies, Roxy cried this morning when I put on my shoes. It was a whimpering sound she usually only makes when I eat ice cream and don’t share it with her. I am sure just like a kid she laid back down on her comfy bed as soon as I walked out the door and was just fine. But it still broke my heart non the less.
I made a stop at the pet store on my home from work this afternoon.
I was feeling guilty about leaving Roxy again this weekend while we go back up north to finish winterizing our trailer.
I hope this is enough to keep her busy.
Not to make light of what this sick-o has done, I personally hope they give him the maximum, but my Roxy needs to get her teeth in to one of these.
Looks like she’s not the only one. The only place they can be found not on back order until September is Ebay.
Tomorrow is our Michigan Basset Waddle a 10 block walk to raise money for basset hound rescue groups and Roxy is ready. With the high being only 60 degrees for tomorrow, she is pretty in pink in her new jacket.
