When we first brought Roxy home my husband had two rules we had to follow, no dogs on our couch or in our bed. Easy enough! Yeah, right. We were so stupid. Here we are, a year or so later and Roxy not only gets in our bed with us but some where along the way has totally taken over our couch and claimed it as her own.
Roxy ate our phone !
I walked in the dinning room and saw the battery on the floor, took a couple more steps and saw the rest all chewed up and in pieces.
I should be saying she is trouble but as I type this she is on the couch getting belly rubs from my daughter.
She is one lucky hound we love her so much!
I use to never think about backing up my files, then I started working at home and out the blue my laptop crashed. I was in shock. I had over twenty important files be totally wiped out and no way of recovering them. When I set up a new laptop I decided that will never happen to me again, ever! Now I plan to use Online Storage.

Roxy, doing what she does bast!
Please dad, can I play?
Who could say no to that face?
She did pretty good. I think Golf might be her game.
Just hanging out on mom & dad’s bed on a lazy, rainy Sunday afternoon.
Just chillin’
I was tagged by Earnest to tell you eight things about Roxy.
1. After years of thinking, planning, searching and interviewing with breeders, Roxy was found in a pet store.
2. She has lots of trouble with her under developed hips because she was kept in a small cage for the first three and a half months of her life.
3. Roxy will do just about anything for food.
4. When Roxy came along she took over Dad’s Lazy-boy chair, it belongs to her now.
5. On her paper work her full name is Princess Foxy Roxy.
6. Roxy is very well known in our neighborhood, very celebrity like.
7. She can go from wild and crazy to flat and lazy in about 10 seconds.
8. Roxy can hear her Dad’s truck coming a block away and always meets him at the door. She’s very much a Daddy’s girl.
I don’t think Roxy is enjoying the new summer weather.
It was a high of 80 today and she wanted nothing to do with playing out side.
Tomorrow is our Michigan Basset Waddle and Roxy is ready!
With a high of only 60, she is pretty in pink in her new jacket.
A couple more pictures on Flickr.
I love it when Roxy lays on our bed. She can lay there for hours and only move her eyes, nothing else.
Of course if you say the word cookie or any other word that even sounds like cookie, she pops right up. Other that, she’s happy to just stay right where she is.
It was one year ago today that we brought Roxy home.
What a year it has been!
She has added so much happiness and laughter to our family.
It took me weeks to find a bed pretty enough for my princess!
Now a year later, she has three.
I thought it would be fun to do a photo count down until Roxy’s Gotcha day, 4/03/07 gets here.
Sticking with the puppy pics, this is one of my favorites. It was taken her first night home. I sat on the kitchen floor for hours as she slept across my lap. No matter how many times I put her on her blanket that evening, she stretched and crawled her way right back to me.
I like to think she knew I was her new momma.

Did some one say Beef Puff?
Once she has it, she runs to her “save place”, under the table.
Then each and every time she sits here, waiting at the door.
Praying for some one to open it so she can go out and burry it in the yard.
Note, this never happens.
Yet there she sits for about 30 minutes before enjoying the rest of her treat, here in the house.
Every time I bake cookies, Roxy ends up in jail.
Poor girl, just can’t help herself.
It is getting close to our one year gotcha day with Roxy. Where did the time go? I love her so much it is like she has always been with us. In fact, my daughter just said to me over the past weekend that she can’t imagine our family with out her. That to me is how you know you have the right pup.
Of course it’s not just a special day on the calendar around here, it’s also a day for gifts!
First thing I have in mind is a sweet Baby Pink and White Polka dot dog collar! Maybe a classy Pink Mink Faux Fur Dog Stole? And what kind of a celebration would it be with out fancy pretty treats ?
Nothing is too good for my Princess Foxy Roxy!
