Roxy is a big one year old today!
Roxy got mail yesterday ,the best kind of mail, eatable !

I can’t believe in just one week from today Roxy will be a year old.
I am planning a little puppy party with a couple of dogs on our block for next weekend. Hats, cake, treats and some puppy play. It should be fun.

Roxy’s Resolutions for 2007:
1. Fit in more afternoon naps.
2. Be nicer to the cat that lives in our house.
3. Try to come when my mom calls me.
4. Eat more healthy dog food and less treats.
5. Chew less socks.

They last her about five days.
Some times I look at her and I can’t believe how much I love her.
She must have been a very good girl!

Because one can never have too much Basset stuff.
My Aunt bought Roxy her first Christmas gift.
Inside the cute paw covered bag was a chewy candy cane and a stuffed squeaky elf.
What a lucky pup!
While checking out my most recent refers, I noticed more then one hit from searching
”Are Basset Hounds chewers?”
Let me just give you a heads up. YES. Roxy is quit the powerful chewer.
There is not much I can buy her that she wont destroy and give me a choking or blockage scare.
Even some real bones she has been able to break apart. I tend to stick now to beef knukle bones , bully sticks or beed tendons.
Bully sticks would be her first choice but because of the smell, I don’t buy them very often.
And gave him a big wet kiss!
Weekends are made for napping.
Our holiday was filled with good food, great family and lots and lots of laughs.
Roxy even had her own Thanksgiving Day Dinner.
Of course like us, it was followed with a nap.
So much to be thankful for !
Finally some thing I can really chew on!
Every Friday night I open the futon we have in our computer room and let my girls sleep together.
It’s a nice way to start the weekend.
