When we first brought Roxy home my husband had two rules we had to follow, no dogs on our couch or in our bed. Easy enough! Yeah, right. We were so stupid. Here we are, a year or so later and Roxy not only gets in our bed with us but some where along the way has totally taken over our couch and claimed it as her own.
Its amazing how you start off with rules (no cats on counters, no begging, no running in and out, no sharing food) and they slowly go away. next thing you know theyre running the show and telling you to let them out, then in then out then in.
Our dog sleeps with us too ... along with our two kitties. So once you’ve got your spot, you never move!

My humans tried that stupid rule when they first brought me home too - by the end of the first night I was sleeping on the pillow by my new mum’s head!! I now snooze on the lounge all the time - they even leave the tv on for me and of course every night I make sure I get into bed first to claim as much of the doona as I possibly can before they try and take it away from me!!
