Foxy Roxy

One year ago today the Princess Foxy Roxy chose me to be her Momma!

I can not believe it has been a year already since Roxy found me. After years of research, waiting for the right time in my life and then a long run of interviews with breeders, I ran in to the pet store on my lunch break for some bunny bedding. And while waiting to pay I saw this sad hound in the small cage sitting on the floor in the back of the store.
Now, I know to never, ever buy a puppy from a pet store and I have been tempted before, but there was just some thing about her, a real connection and I couldn’t just leave. I asked to see her so she could get out of that damn cage and then kept repeating to my self, never from a pet store, never from a pet store, I then handed her over and tried to leave, I really did!
But every time I would turn my back, she would let out this funny howling sound as to say Momma, please don’t leave me!!! So I went back and picked her up, asked for her papers, gave her a long look over and asked for some referrals.
From that moment on, I knew she was my Princess, the one I had been waiting for. I still never advise buying from a pet store because you have to worry about supporting puppy mills, but I do believe in following your heart.

Hey… it is not Roxy’s fault that is where you found her.

You are right about not supporting puppy mills, but it wasn’t your intention.  You (and she) just happen to meet and fall in love there.

Good for you (both of you).
